Dick Seagle and Associates, Inc. (DSA) is a full service environmental consulting firm providing a comprehensive range of services to government and industrial clients, private sector developers and agriculture interests throughout southwest and central Florida. The company was established in Sarasota, Florida in 1990.

The primary services provided by DSA include habitat analyses and mapping, environmental permitting, wetland evaluations, agency negotiations, impact assessments, water quality sampling and analyses, land use constraints, wildlife surveys, biological sampling and designing and implementing monitoring and mitigation programs.

The principal of DSA, Dr. Dick Seagle has 25 years of experience in resolving environmental problems in Florida ecosystems and Sam Johnston has 35 years experience in Florida including service in the public, private and academic sectors.  These strengths of DSA are therefore based on our experience and responsiveness to the needs of our clients.  It is DSA's policy to act in the best interest of our clients, regardless of whether we are employed by the private sector or government agencies, avoiding conflicts of interest that would compromise these efforts.

DSA maintains the necessary equipment and specialized instrumentation to provide the best possible services to our clients. In addition to our office our facilities include a complete inventory of sampling equipment, field vehicles, boats and state-of-the-art computer capabilities.

Staff of DSA has graduate and undergraduate degrees in Zoology, Biological Sciences, Oceanography and Environmental Studies. DSA understands the full range of environmental regulations and precedent and negotiates with these agencies in the best interest of our clients.
